Dave grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Arizona on a Football Scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with dual majors in Finance and Economics.  After graduating in May of 1991 he entered the mortgage industry as a Loan Officer.  He helped his clients with refinance, purchase and construction loans.

Dave helped start CNN Mortgage in Spring of 1998 along with Chris Lagerblade, President, and Ned Kneadler, Secretary-Treasurer, who have a combined 70 years of mortgage lending experience. After witnessing the effects of a major consolidation of mortgage companies in recent years, the principals wanted to start a company that would be more responsive to local borrowers. With local decision making and funding, CNN Mortgage was established on the premise of delivering exceptional service.
